FREE EDUCATION: is it for deserving or fortunate student?

While this can be a very good news to everyone, there are still some doubts that are coming out about who will be the most benefited with this program. Generally, we can say that kids who have the brains will be having the chance to pursue their dream without worrying financial matter but wait! How sure are we that this can really happen?
The intention of this program is really extravagant. We can just say that this is the solution to our growing problem in attaining education especially for those poor and of course for them, this is really heaven sent. But will this really happen? Is it really possible to get a free education nowadays?
It is true that we have some of great colleges and universities in different cities and until now these schools offer scholarships. Yes it is also true that there are some poor kids who are benefited but are you aware that it is not only them who get these benefits?
Well in getting the benefits that are given by the government, there should be no discrimination. These should be divided equally but the poverty in our country is already spreading like a plague and this affects the education of most children: thus this matter should be prioritized in order to ease the burden our government is facing.
There are universities in our city where if you give your attention to them, you will learn that rich kids are being prioritized when it comes to the benefits the government has offered. Well, there is nothing wrong with that especially when they are qualified to be in that program but how about those less fortunate who also deserve the program? The point is, why prioritize those who can afford to pay when there are more out there who need these benefits?

If this program will be used properly, years from now, we can see Philippines as more progressive country. Since it has produced tons of professionals, surely our economy will rise and be able to compete in the International market confidently and successfully. Crimes will be lessened as the poverty because the government has provided the right solution to create a better person by giving free education.
