What Has Happen To The World Today

Nowadays you maybe wondering what is happening around us. The world is harassed and abandoned. By whom? By the human being.........
Crime's everywhere! Stealing, lying and furthermore"killing". Why are there such men who do not hesitate to do such horrible and barbaric acts. Killing their own kinds like an animal. Where is the conscience that God has provided for us to know the good or bad things that we do? Or maybe they don't have it at all. What is happening around us? Where is the love that should be shared to one another? Why do some people forgot the rights of the others to live? Is this the kind of world that we should live and for our generations to stay?
I salute to those men who do everything just to deliver the truth and do their best to save their country, aware that their lives are in danger, still they do their part as great as they can just to prevail the truth but there are still who have that "demonic thinking" who use their powers to manipulate and even liquidate those person concern. I just wonder when will they get their deserving "karma". I just hope that the things that they are doing to their fellowmen won't go back to them. Though I sometimes think that what would they feel if it will happen to them on the other hand. If they will feel also the pain that they left to the family of the man they killed? I know it is not right to say this but "they deserve worse than that". I am sorry God. Please touch their barbaric heart and admit the souls of the victims.........

The beauty beyond that sadness...

It really touches me when I read a friend's post because of its content. I felt every word that he wrote and it hurts. It really hurts knowing that a dear friend is undergoing such pain inside him, wondering what"s bothering him and feeling bad that you are not with him in times of needs.
Why is sadness comes anyway? Is there no way how to avoid it? I think so....I am aware that anyone feels sadness in different situation. But the best part of it is, when there are lots of them that comforts and shares their sympathy more than you expected. When you feel sad, alone, depressed, and worthless, they are the one who reminds you how important, good and special you are. That they are the one who lifts you up and lend their shoulders for you to cry on. Who listens to your complaints and ease up the pains. They help you overcome that sadness and makes you feel better. That's the best part of it....
Sadness comes anytime, anywhere, in any kind but the importance of it is, you can still manage. Never let it hold you and manipulate you co'z if you have, it will control you and it will affect you entirely. It's just a normal feeling that anyone can feel but it depends on the reason why you feel it. Just always remember that, that sadness, when done, still there's the happiness that awaits you. Don't let that sadness stocks you in that situation. Move on and look around. There are lots of things that makes you happy and happier and makes that sadness away. Love, learn, and let go....

Will you kill for love?

Have you ever experienced loving someone else except for your family and relatives as well? I am talking about loving someone intimately. But before that, how do you define love anyway?
Love is an affection that you feel with someone else. Yeah it's true that it drives you crazy sometimes but it depends on how you control it. It can move mountains as they say yes it's true, but do you know how to control your feelings to others? Some people misinterpret the word "love" sometimes. They start hurting the person they love because they believe that it is the way they are showing their feelings to them. Unaware of it, they are already neglecting, pushing away, and made their lovers suffer. If you are in that situation, start thinking. Maybe it is not love that she or he is feeling for you instead, obsession already. Love won't kill but obsession does.
An obsessed person claims that his/her lover is his/her belonging. That no one is allowed to talk or even glance at him/her without his/her permission. Remember love is giving not keeping. Love is understanding, caring, supporting, and never hurting.
A person who knows how to love understands each and everything. He won't never give any reason to make the person he loves to suffer. He is always there to support and give assurance that everything will be alright and always sticking together through thick or thin. Love is for caring not killing.

Attention to Prevention

Most of us have read in news papers and magazines or have been advised by doctors or even watched healthy lifestyle programs and television about how to have healthier and disease-free lives. Living a healthy life is the first step in prevention but many ignore the good advice....stop smoking, drink moderately, avoid fatty and salty foods, exercise regularly, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, worry less, etc. Easier said than done it seems because many of us would consider life pretty mundane if we had to literally follow all those "rules". Well, if one cannot do so completely, than maybe a little moderation is another option.
When it comes to disease or illness prevention, of course number one is to be in great health. Contact avoidance is likewise sound advice. Always eat in places that you know are clean; know where and how the food is prepared; do not share drinks with other people; avoid creeks and still water areas where mosquitoes breed and can spread dengue fever; do not visit hospitals unless you really have to; wash your hands before meals; always keep your surroundings clean, among many others.
Preventive accident techniques can be best implemented firstly at home, since statistically that's where most occur. Keep floors dry; have rubber mats in the bathroom shower area; be extra careful with candles, cooking oil, electric cords and sharp objects; keep children's toys in a box not strewn all over; keep detergents, cleansers, medication out of reach of children...keep firearms, if any, out of reach of everyone except the one licensed to use it. At the workplace, risks differ depending on occupation. Obviously, industrial jobs post more risks, even assuming that these jobs mandate adequate warnings and precautions. Other accidents such as those suffered in sports and leisure-related activities may be a little more difficult to prevent other than the usual advice for one not to be too foolhardy and always exercise appropriate care.

Different Kinds Of English

Once you have passed the elementary stage of English studies, it is important that you should realize there are different kinds of English used for different purposes. This is true to some extent of all languages. If you were speaking in your own language to a high official, for instance, you would not use quite the same expressions as when speaking to your friends, and on ceremonial occasions you may even have to use a kind of ceremonial speech which is quite different from the speech of everyday. But in addition there is one very important feature which English shares with all other advanced languages: it has gone far beyond the purely oral stage of development, and has a written history as well as a spoken one. English has, in fact, been written down for over a thousand years. Now when a language is written down, the written form is usually not quite the same as the spoken form, and written English is not quite the same as spoken English. This does not mean that they are always different. Most of the English you learn can be used on all occasions and for all purposes, both in speech and writing. But there are some expressions which belong only to speech, and others which belong only to writing. The English which belongs only to speech is called "colloquial" English, and that belonging only to writing is called "literary" English.

Colloquial English.
When we are speaking, we often use expressions which would seem careless and undignified in writing. This is true of highly educated people as well as everyone else. One of the most familiar examples is the practice of shortening certain common verbal expressions, e.g "don't", "won't", "I'll" (=I will or I shall),"he's" ( he is), etc. These are extremely common in speech, but are normally avoided in writing unless the writer is purposely using a colloquial style, as when writing a letter to friend, or when using direct speech to report the exact words which somebody has used. Moreover, in colloquial English we often say things in writing would be the sentence, "Who did you see?" when it is spoken, but if we are writing it we must alter "who" to "whom", because it is the object of "see" and must take the object form.
"Slang" is an extreme form of colloquial English, though even slang is widely used by all classes of people. Many slang expressions are used only in certain occupations, and may not be understood by people outside those occupations. Sailors for instance, have their own slang; so have schoolboys, actors, thieves, and others. Uneducated foreigners(e.g. uneducated Africans and Chinese) use a simplified type of English called "pidgin English". English people living in Africa sometimes use pidgin English among themselves as a kind of slang. Expressions like "left small"(for soon) and "one-time" (for quickly) are pidgin English, and would not be understood by the average Englishman in England. Finally, a good deal of slang is impolite or obscene, and is therefore avoided by all respectable people.

Literary English.
The word "literary" means "belonging to writing".It should not be confused with the word "literal" which has a different meaning. Literary English is more careful than colloquial English. Why is this? The reason is that when anything is written down, it is often a permanent record which everyone can see and check and examine, and the writer, knowing this, is careful to be grammatically correct, and to make his sentences effective or striking. Now this very careful kind of English may also be used in speech for special occasions, for instance in giving a public address or welcome to some important person; but if it is used in ordinary conversation it may sound foolish. Thus, "the person with whom I was conversing" is normal literary English, but in normal speech we would say something more simple "the man I was talking to".
There is one other very important thing about literary English. As the years go by, every language is slowly changing. You do not notice this with a less advance language, since if it has only recently been written down, you cannot compare the way people speak it now with the way they spoke it long ago. But in English the comparison can easily be made because we can still read the books which were written by our forefathers even hundreds of years ago. Thus, the English we read is often old-fashioned. This is to some extent true even of the literary English written today, because the written language always changes more slowly than the spoken. The words "thee","thou",etc., for example, are ever used in normal spoken English, but they are still sometimes used in writing specially in poetry.

A Great Trial To Filipinos

The scenery's heartbreaking, flood's everywhere, every face's frightened and worried not only from themselves but specially to their families. This is the tragedy that just came to my country Philippines.
It was September 26, Friday night when the rain starts pouring continuously until Saturday the whole day. I never thought that it will be serious but as the day came on Saturday, I notice the creek nearby. I was so surprised when I went back to our laundry area back of our house. The water seems so high and almost reach our back yard. It never happened before so I start watching it, if the water will go higher than before. For a better sight, I went to the second floor and so shocked. The creek is over flowing already and almost to our backyard, to my father-in-law's fighting cocks. I ran down and panicked. It's just good my brother-in-law is around and transferred all the fighting cocks to a higher ground. As for us it remained that way, backyard's flooded but if you just saw the houses across the creek, only the roofs are to be seen, fences broke and goes with the flood. After that, brown out everywhere so we can't watch any news.
For the years that we stayed here since we moved, this is the very first time that the creek over flowed. We're just thankful that only a small damage happened to us but it so sad when we heard that part of our subdivision was flooded so bad that the water's deep is unto neck. I was more horrified when we heard the news that almost the whole Metro Manila was flooded and hundreds of lives where taken by it. It was so painful seeing families including babies on top of the roofs begging for help but rescuers can't reach them.
Until now, some schools are still used as evacuation areas because the refugees don't have any home to stay. Their homes were taken by the flood. The bad part is, rescuing's still going on but here comes another super typhoon again. This time it affected the northern part of the Philippines, it includes my home province. My parents and siblings are there and made me worry so much. It's just good that I manage to contact my mom and thank god they are okay.
The good part of this is, we still manage to help our co-Filipinos. It doesn't matter if you are poor or rich.In this case, we help each other without any hesitation. We do our best to save lives of other. And we do our best to reach out for those who are needy and homeless. We give to those who are starving and comfort those who are suffering.
Now I just pray that all of mankind shall realize that this is a Calling. Nature's giving back the things that is done to it. If the illegal loggers don't cut trees on the mountains, there should be enough trees to hold the water and prevent floods.
In moment like this, it is so great that Filipinos rely to each other, help each other, and hold on to each other. It is so nice to see everyone doing their best to do everything they can to save anyone's life. Mabuhay ka Pilipinas!

Sadness came today.....

This is the day that my brother-in-law needs to go back to Dubai for his work. He just arrived here last Wednesday and now he needs to go back for he only have 6 days vacation. It was so hard for him and his nieces to say goodbye and to all of us too. His nieces love him very much because of his generosity and the love itself that he is showing to them.
He needs to go to the airport at around 2 pm but because her nieces are at school, he waited for them to arrive to bid his goodbye. I was so surprised and got carried away because Kyl is crying so hard for his tito. She is so sad and hurt for her tito will be leaving them again for the fact that he just arrived last week. As for us, we really feel sad coz we still didn't have much time to spend together yet he needs to go back this fast.
It's really hard to keep the sadness. I can't even control myself. I also cried because he will be away again. He is so nice to us and we all feel the worries for him. That who will take good care of him when he's sick and if he have problems. But I know he can manage it. He's strong and intelligent. Still we can't do anything about it.That we still miss him but he needs to leave for us, for his family.
I really admire this person. He is one of a kind. His priority is his family rather than himself. All his plans is for his parents, siblings and nieces and that includes me. He wants me to go back to school to take up Nursing and it's a very big privilege for me. I'll take the opportunity, after all I want to go back to school rather than staying home.
It really hurts when someone who is very dear will be away for quite some time. It is so hard to adjust and so hard to move on. But it is his choice and for his own good so we need to be strong and wait for another 6 months for us to see him again. Goodbye Jules for now, till we see each other again......

Innocence of a child

As i look back to my childhood, I realized, i miss a lot of it. I miss the freedom for everything. Free from sadness, fear, anger, and violence. I once a child who enjoys everything that I see and everything that I own. Who is satisfied in what i get and to my parents love and care.
How I wish I am still a child. Who has a simple life and simple needs. A perfect childhood that once i had is what i want to any child to have. The innocence of a child should not be taken until they themselves discover life as they grow. A child should be given importance as a child and a human being. That they have the right to enjoy their everyday life in a good and satisfying manner rather than abusing and using them in a bad way. Their childhood is their foundation in living. A great childhood means great life.
Now I wonder, How far does it go? As I see the deprived children on the streets. No food, no shelter, and no family to cling on. As young as them, they starve, no directions to go, and some, used by those animals who have bad intentions. Those children that should be in school, instead they are scattered everywhere to steal and sometimes kill. Are these the scenery that a child should see?
A child is an innocent one. That once you did not open her eyes to the real world, she will have no idea how dirty it is, how dreadful it is, and how sinful it is. Her innocence should remain as it is until the proper time will come that she is ready to come out in a world that's full of mystery and explore it with the guidance of love ones.

YOUTH-the hope of the motherland...

The youths play an important role in our society. How? In many ways. For the fact that they are the hope of our motherland, they should be well motivated enough and guided accordingly. A good upbringing to them is one good foundation for their behaviors and dealings to the others.
Though the conditions of the youths are a little harder to manage, we should guide them in the right path in a way, they will be responsible enough for their future. On the other hand, there are youths who encounter and suffer due to the poverty that causes them of being neglect specially in education. There are some that are lack of guidance and lack of parents attention that causes them to be rebellious. These matters sometimes causes them to go in the wrong way. Some taking drugs, committing crimes and some of them, end up to the jail. How can we provide and prepare a successor in our country in this case?
Youths should always know their importance in the first place. They should be aware as early in their age what contribution they can provide for the best future. That in their hands lies the new beginning and changes for a better and compensated society. But for now, all that they need is a good example that later on, uses it as a guidance and a strong foundation.
We should also encourage them to be god fearing children and indulge them to sports as well. Though it is true that they also deserve their independence, still, specially to parents, need to supervise their daily activities. For this, we can monitor whether our youths are doing the right things or misled.

health over food

You should always be aware that food is always connected to your health. Well, most of us are aware of it but there are still some who chooses food over health. Meaning, knowing that the food they are taking is not that healthy and can affect their health, still they pursue to take them due to the pleasure that they get.
Enjoyment of food can sometimes makes us forget the right diet that we should have. We prefer to eat lots of goodies than thinking what the right food to take. Those oily and not nutritious foods may cause addiction intake due to the tastes that we savor and enjoy. In return we gain much weight and food imbalance that later causes us problems connected to our body and health.
Though these foods gives us satisfaction,in return, we should also put some effort to reduce the fats and other unnecessary things that we got from them. We can enjoy any food that we wish for as long as we are also responsible for the outcome of it. Burn the fats and exercise. It is for your own good.
Bear in mind that keeping your body healthy is your own advantage. A healthy body and a healthy mind leads you to a better living. Be aware that the food we eat affects the reaction of our body and our reactions as well. Having a healthy body can always makes you on the go and helps you to have a sharper mind and a healthy lifestyle.

10 SEXY THINGS TO DO AFTER SEX

Your heart is still beating a bit faster, your skin is still tingling with sweat from a passionate encounter of satisfying sex. Now, what should you do next?
Before you settle on that, here`s a refresher on what happens inside your body right after sex:

* Sexual orgasm releases several feel-good hormones, among them prolactin and vesopressin, into our body. These hormones are linked to the feeling of sexual satisfaction. On the other hand, prolactine regulates our sleepy function. In a laboratory experiment, animal injected with prolactin hormone become sleepy afterwards. Somehow, this partly explains why most couple fall asleep after sex
* Sex is strenuous activity that makes the couple feel tired afterwards. Either they go to sleep to gain back strength or eat some snacks to replenish lost energy.

So what are some sexy things to do after an intimate romp? There are no right or wrong answer and really, there`s no set of rules to follow. But according to a marathon phone survey among married women, the following are some sexy things to do after love-making:

1.KISS
It`s the best way to express love and thanks to your mate upon putting up a good performance in bed. Besides, kissing feels very sexy and intimate.

2.READ A GOOD BOOK TOGETHER
You can take turns reading, and the act of listening to your mate`s voice can have an endearing effect on the relationship.

3.CUDDLE
Women find it very comforting to hug and cuddle their mate right after sex. You can encourage your mate to do the same if you set the good example.

4.MAKE SOME MEALS
Since sex is physically exhausting, a meal afterwards makes a good respite. You can head to the kitchen and grab some goodies from the refrigerator. Or you can cook easy-to-prepare snacks. It would double the fun if both of you do the cooking together.

5.BODY MASSAGE
Take turns in giving each other a good and relaxing body massage. Aside from improving blood circulation, a loving body massage has been shown as an effective way to nourish and enhance your marital relationship.

6.ENJOY THE VIEW OUTSIDE
You can open up the bedroom window and, with arms around each other, enjoy the horizon`s view together. Make sure you put on some clothes first or passers-by will be very scandalized to see a half-naked couple looking out of the window.

7.LISTEN TO ROMANTIC MUSIC

Some couples find it very sexy to listen to romantic music together. Plop your sentimental CD`s into the tape desk and sit back. It`s a good way to reminisce about your courtship and romantic past.

8.RECORD YOUR FEELINGS
If you want, you can grab a journal and write down all the happy feelings you encountered right after sex. As a variation, you can simply use a tape recorder and record whatever sentiments you feel at that very moment. You can then listen to it after a few days. You can keep the flames of passion burning this way.

9.SURF THE INTERNET TOGETHER
With portable laptops becoming affordable these days, you can surf the internet while in bed. Doing activities together, such as web browsing with your mate, can surely strengthen your marriage to last for a lifetime.

10.INTIMATE PILLOW TALK
You can talk about things that turn you on, that pushes you towards orgasm, or specific positions that you find sexually satisfying.

Sing Out Your Heart

Heart ache is one of the pains that hard to deal with. It will drag all the emotions on you and can`t think of anything else but the pain, pain and pain.
Lately I wonder how I`d survive with those heart aches that I encountered. I still remember the times when I`m with those pains, like the world ends and no tomorrows, like I wanna die right away to scape the feeling, but now i just laugh at it. Just because I figured out how to handle it in any way.
First, don`t keep it to yourself. Cry your pain out loud to your most trusted friend, bestfriend or even to your mom. It will be a great relief and helps you move on. Then try to do something new that never been done with your life, maybe you won`t enjoy at first but later if you put your mind into it, you`ll realize how nice it is. If your a poet, try to write about it and you`ll be surprise, got the most appreciative writing you`d ever had.
You should also try to look around you. Go to a new place that helps you to be calm and chill. Try not to think of the reasons why you are suffering but think of something that makes you excited. It is more better if you travel to a place that you`ve never been for you to focus and enjoy as well. Those things that first time in your sight helps a lot to pull your attention.
But the best cure for this is, face the truth. Accept the fact that it has happened and let it through. It is the hardest thing to do but you should believe and you need to do it, in that case, it is easier for you to move on.

Leadership-its not all about intelligence......

True, to be a leader needs to be smart. In leading a country, community or anything, you must be intelligent enough to rule. But is that it all about?
A leader should know how to reach out for his people, not for his people to reach out for him. He should not use his brain alone but the feeling also is necessary. Though he needs to be smart in sorting different problems and obligations, still, he should know how to go down to his throne and listens to his people.
If this leader lets his people feel that he is no more than like them, he`ll gain more respect and obedience in return. A leader that can stand and do anything for the good of his people will gain much more than he expected. The love and support that will be given back to him is unconditional.
He must also be aware of what condition his people are going through, that he is always ready to fight for them and give his best to make their freedom stay and untouched. He should be well prepared and always on the go and won`t let any hindrance stays in his way through his leading. That he should earn the trust of his people in a way that his people won`t hesitate whenever they need him.
He should not also take the opportunity to overuse the power that is entrusted to him. In return, he must serve his people well for they choose him as their guidance, light and path.
A simple leader has the ability to lead better than a leader that`s so empowered by his own rules and regulations. Many people believes in that.

Green-What`s on your mind?

When you heard of the word green, what gets into your mind? Well, maybe it depends on the situation. Literally, green is one of the secondary colors that we have but more than that, it also symbolize so many things.
For an instance, green plants such as trees, grass, veins and more. They are green coz` they are healthy, they have life. But what happens when they will be lack of supplements like water, fresh air, and enough sunlight? They won`t look green anymore despite they will turn to brown which leads to a lifeless thing.
Green symbolizes life. A healthy life that`s been maintained and taken good care. We are the one who makes our life better, we are the one who manipulate it and we are the one who makes it greener, means, we hold our destinies. If we want to be better or the best maybe, it`s in our hand. And if the worst comes, it`s still in our hand, to let it ruin us or to face and fight with it and won`t allow it to conquer us.
Being fresh also can be considered as green. Simply because, freshness means cleanliness. Though sometimes some uses "green" as a symbol of censored jokes,it doesn`t mean that it is contaminated. Still green`s definition lies unto us.

Manage Your Mood

There were times that a person can feel anger, fear, depression, hatred and unwillingness, but they are all common. all of us can feel one or some of these feelings for some reason, though it is natural, it is important for us to manage each and every one of it.
When you always encounter your anger or depression without any valid reason, try to do something about it.If you have a little hard time with it, don`t hestitate to seek for an advice. It doesn`t mean that when you need or seek an advice, there`s something wrong with you. It`s not as serious as you think but the earlier the better. Sometimes we need a guidance for us to properly manage our mood.
Though it is important for us to express what we feel, we must always be aware of it. A feeling is something that can manipulate our behaviors and sometimes leads us to a mess. We should control our own behavior in a way that we control our lives.
We also need to meditate, relax, exercise, and pray. We need to boost our souls for a healthier body and mind. In a way, try to focus to another things that will help you maintain your good mood.

The art of porn, or the porn as art?

For those who just don`t like the sound of porn, why not try an "art film?" 9 Songs was touted as an art film, but it actually just has a whole lot of sex. The story revolves around Matt and Lisa,a young couple who are drawn to each other by their passion for music. In the course of one year, they attend rock concerts and travel together: their story unfolds in a series of rock songs- a total of nine, which explains the title. The film raised controversy at the time of its release because of its explicit sexual content-unlike many sex- oriented films, which coyly stop and pumping scenes and frontal nudity. 9 Songs dishes out sex in generous doses. There`s some fellatio, cunnilingus and even penetrative sex, enough to satisfy the most curious voyeurs. However, the difference lies in the film`s treatment of sex. Some say that "it`s all in the direction, baby," and this film, beautifully cinematographed as it is, shows you how you wish sex would be. Soft flesh tones and languid camera movements hit all the right notes: desire, seduction, lust, wanton, longing-but never just dirty sex. After all, sex isn`t just about gyrating and gymnastics, but the emotions that are being bundled with it, like it or not. And 9 Songs shows every part of the package. It`s a glorified take one sex, but one that you wouldn`t mind watching over regular wham-bam-thank-you-ma`am porn fare.

DIABETES: What To Know from Head to Toe

EYES
Diabetes can lead to vision loss or even blindness. If you catch problems early, you can save your sight. However, you may not have any symptoms. That is why it is important to have an eye exam each year.

TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR EYES:

* Keep you blood sugar close to your goal.
* Bring high blood pressure down.
* Get a dilated eye exam by an eye doctor every year.
* Your eye doctor will use drops to enlarge your pupils to look inside your eyes.

SEE YOUR EYE DOCTOR IF:
* Your vision is blurry.
* You see double. You see spots or floaters.
* One or both eyes hurt.
* You feel pressure in your eye.
* You can`t see things at the sides like you used to.

HEART
People with diabetes are twice as likely to develop high blood pressure than people without diabetes. If untreated, high blood pressure can lead to heart disease and stroke. It can also cause eye and kidney problems.

TO HAVE A HEALTHY HEART:
* Lose weight, if you are overweight. Talk to your health care provider.
* Become more physically active.
* Have your blood pressure checked during each visit to your health care provider.
* Ask your health care provider what your blood pressure goal should be. A blood pressure level under 130/85 is the goal for most people with diabetes.
* Don`t smoke.

FEET
Diabetes can harm the blood vessels and nerves in your feet. When it does, you may not feel a cut or blister on your foot. Untreated, a cut or blister can lead to infection and possible lost of a limb.

TO KEEP YOUR FEET HEALTHY:
* Keep your blood sugar close to your goal.
* Take off your shoes and socks and have your feet checked at least once a year- more often if you have any foot problems.
* Wash your feet every day. Dry them, even between toes.
* Check daily for cuts, blisters, redness, and swelling. If you cannot see the bottom of your feet, use a mirror or ask someone for help. If you find anything, contact your health care provider-no matter how small the problem.
* Never walk barefoot.
* Wear shoes that fit well. If you have lost feeling in your feet, ask your health care provider for advice on proper shoes.
* Break in new shoes slowly.
* Wear clean, padded socks that fit well. Make sure the sock seams are in the right place.
* Cut your nails straight across and file the edges.
* Shake out your shoes before putting them on. A small pebble can lead to problems.

Coping With Diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic disease that can be controlled, but not cured. Doctors say one of the hardest parts of dealing with diabetes is the toll the disease takes on a person mentally. Many people either deny they have it or get angry or depressed about it. While these feelings are normal, experts say these feelings should not prevent proper treatment and behavior.
Here are ways experts suggest diabetics should cope with their swirling emotions:

DENIAL
Almost everybody goes through denial when he or she is first diagnosed with diabetes. The trouble comes when you continue to deny your diabetes. Continued denial keeps you from learning what you need to know to stay healthy. If you think or say some of these phrases, you may be denying some part of your diabetes care:
"One bite won`t hurt."
"This sore will heal by itself."
"I`ll go to the doctor later."
"I don`t have time to do it."
"My diabetes isn`t serious."
"I only take one pill, not shots."
"My insurance doesn`t cover that."

Here are ways to break away from denial:
* Write down your diabetes care plan and your health goals. Know why each part of your plan is important. Accept that it will take time to reach your goals.
* Talk to your diabetes educator about your diabetes care plan. Together, you may be able to device a better plan.
* Tell your friends and family how you take care of your diabetes. Tell them how they can help you.

Anger
Anger is a powerful emotion. If you don`t use anger, it will use you. To gain control over your anger, learn more about it. Start an anger diary. Write down when you felt angry, where you were, who you were with, why you felt angry, and what you did. After a few weeks, read it. Try to understand your anger. What are you angry about? Usually under your anger are hurt feelings.
The better you understand your anger, the better you will be able to control it. How you use the energy of your anger is up to you. Plan to use your anger in a way that helps you next time.

Here are ways to control your anger:
* DEFUSE IT. Talk slowly, take deep breaths, get a drink of water, sit down, lean back, keep your hands down at your side.
* LET IT OUT. Do a physical activity like jogging or raking leaves. Cry over a sad movie. On a piece of paper, write what you feel like saying or shouting.
* MAKE IT TRIVIAL. Ask yourself just how important it is. Some things are just to trivial to be worth your anger.
* LAUGH AT IT. Find something funny about it. Sometimes laughter can push out anger.
* LET IT GIVE YOU STRENGTH. Anger can give you the courage to speak up for yourself or act to protect someone else.

DEPRESSION
Feeling down occasionally is normal. But feeling really sad and hopeless for two weeks or more might be a sign of serious depression.

You may be depressed if:
* You no longer take interest or pleasure in things you used to enjoy doing.
* You have trouble falling asleep, wake up often during the night, or want to sleep more than usual.
* You wake up earlier than usual and cannot get back to sleep.
* You eat more or less than you used to.
* You quickly gain or lose weight.
* You have trouble concentrating. Other thoughts or feelings distract you.
* You have no energy. You feel tired all the time.
* You are so nervous or anxious, you can`t sit still.
* You are less interested in sex.
* You cry often.
* You feel you never do anything right and are a burden to others.
* You feel sad or worse in the morning than you do the rest of the day.
* You feel you want to die or are thinking about ways to hurt yourself.

If you have three or more of these signs and have been feeling bad for two weeks or more, get help. Talk to your first. There may be a physical cause for your depression.

ACCEPTANCE
Once you have made it through any denial, anger, or depression, you are on your way to accepting your diabetes. Accepting your diabetes is the way to cope with it.

Accept that diabetes care is up to you. You are the one who decides what to eat, how much to exercise, and when to check your blood glucose. Accepts this for what it is-control. You are in control.

Learn as much about diabetes as you can. Read. Asks questions. Take diabetes education classes. go to diabetes support groups.

Share what you have learned with family and friends. The more they know, the better they will be able to help you. Tell them how you feel about diabetes.

Keep active in your hobbies, activities and sports. You`ll show everyone, including yourself, that you`re still the same person. You can still have lots of fun.

Think positive. Thinking good thoughts about yourself and about things in your life can make your life happier. Maybe even longer. Thinking too much about things you don`t like or that make you angry or sad can only make living with complications harder for you and your loved ones.

Food of love

Are you aware that what your man orders on your first dinner date reveals his in-bed behavior?

If he chooses red meat: He is a red-blooded mail whose appetite for sex is even greater than his love of food. He likes his woman down to earth and hungry for it.
What you gonna do: Make him hungry for more. Order your stake rare to show you`re as impatient as him to get to the bed.

A seafood lover: Once you hit his hot spots, he`ll be a generous, sensitive lover- and protein-rich stamina will make up for his lack of experimentation.
What you gonna do: From cold fish to hello sailor! Make him hungry for more. After dinner, suggest a sexy shower for two. He`ll have a clean body but a dirty mind.

When he`s a vegetarian: All those minerals make for high energy levels and a fit body. He wants the best, rich in spice and flavor. Make sure you`re up to it.
What you gonna do: You`ll be at it like rabbits. Make him hungry for more. Tie-me-up, tie-me-down sex games will have you both breaking that no-meat diet.

How To Maintain Genuine Beauty

Exercise
Fitting a little exercise in to our day increases our energy, gives us a sense of well being and makes us feel and look more beautiful. Whether it`s doing sports or yoga, any kind of exercise that works up a nice sweat is good for increasing the heart rate to improve blood flow and metabolism, which adds to natural color and beauty. It also helps eliminate toxins and ease tension so we feel and look better almost instantly.

Detoxify
Since we absorb all kinds of toxic daily, we need to regularly detoxify ourselves to keep a healthy balance. Some of the most accessible detoxification methods include fasting, juicing, skin brushing, soaking in epsom salt or cider vinegar baths, lymphatic drainage and colon cleansing.
Avoid too much of the usual suspects like sugar, salt, caffeine, soft drinks, alcohol and smoking. Drink plenty of cleansing herbal teas such as lemon grass(removes fatty blockages)and sambong(remove salt deposits)to flush toxins from the body and skin. Four big glasses of warm mineral water upon rising(with calamansi or lemon squeezed into the first glass)an hour before breakfast is a great way to cleanse.

Diet
Have the discipline to keep generally correct eating habits."Eat to live" rather than "Live to Eat" is a good standard to follow. Steer clear of eating late in the evening when the body is winding down to rest, because the unprocessed food simply gets stored as fat around the waist. Avoid overeating because it hastens aging. If sleepiness sets in after a meal, it`s a sign that you`ve overeaten. Eating small meals frequently is the healthier option. Get as much as sleep as the body asks for, since the rest between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. is when it repairs and renews itself.

Prayer and peace
But how can we achieve centered peace of mind, clarify and a joyful spirit-the inner states that contribute to outward beauty, in a world full of turmoil? Thankfully, the modern world has a wealth of valuable information, both old and new, available to those who are open to receiving it. Ancient practices like yoga, Qi Gong, meditation, cleansing breath work and meditative, prayer as well as teachings from educational and humanitarian organizations like the Landmark Forum and the Art of Living Foundation offer programs that provide practical empowering knowledge on life dynamics, creating new paradigms, eliminating stress, self mastery and transformation, are vastly available to help one make the shift.
Our true divinely-inspired nature is love, joy, and peace. Health is our natural state. As the captains in command of our ship, we have it entirely in our power to choose and create our reality.

Meditation is the way
Meditation is a stabilizing process that offers alertness and inner calm regardless of what external factors try to penetrate, while it releases stress. It also balances both sides of the brain allowing for a higher state of consciousness, which is the realm where profound healing takes place. It clears emotional pollution and issues on all the layers of our being so healing can begin. Focusing on taking slow, deep breaths is one way to induce a meditative state.
The human aura is an energy body made up of invisible subtle or etheric matter that energizes and sustains our existence. With the use of Kirlian photography science has been able to study, photograph and observe this phenomenon closely. Cleansing the auric energy at this level addresses imbalances before they manifest disease in the physical level. the common energy healing techniques include Pranic Healing, Reiki and Quantum Touch.
The good news is that when you work on it from the deepest levels it overrides the rest. When one has decided to nurture the seeds of infinite beauty from deep within, then the radiance shines outward in its entire splendor, permeating lasting beauty throughout your being.

Save the Earth: Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle

Summer `09 seems to be one of the hottest in recent years. Apart from being assaulted by high humidity and excruciating heat, we are most like being floored by soaring electric bills!
And have your water utility bills been hitting the roof, too? Most likely we take showers twice a day and do our laundry more often as we shed sweat-drenched clothes a few times a day. But hey, we need to cool down lest we suffer from heat stroke, so what other means do we have to keep water consumption down to a comfortable level?
For one, have you been using more valuable fresh water to keep your lawns green? Well, read on for some simple ideas on how to reduce the amount of water we use on our plants and gardens.
* Water before the sun is fully up. This cuts down on evaporation.
* Use a low-pressure sprinkler and when in use, check he lawn to be sure it`s not getting soaked.
* Resist watering until such time that your lawn really needs it. This will tend to make the grass hardier.
* When you do, use just enough so it sinks into the grass bed. This encourages deeper root growth, where more moisture is usually available.
* Consider investing in rain barrels. Or use one or two old drums that may be lying around idle. You can accumulate gallons of fresh water that cab be directly used on your lawn and garden without any treatment.

Repair, Not Replace
This may seem like a no-brainer, but when you think about it, when was the last time you had something small repaired? If it is a major appliance, chances are we will call a repairman before we spend thousands of pesos to replace it. But what about a toaster oven or a microwave or a television set?
Our consumers-driven society makes it too easy to simply replace something when it goes on the blink. Think of what the little extra effort to find a reliable repairman will save in resources and material!
Fix one item this year. Doing so will save you from buying a new one. One exception may be when the appliance that has broken down has seen five or more years of service. This is because new washing machines, dryers, airconditioners, fridges and the like are more efficient now than in the past, and new ones can save massive amounts of energy. However, if you make a big purchase, donate your old item to a cause.

Remember The 3 R`s
Most people don`t realize how big of an impact petroleum has on our daily lives. Some of its products we can`t live without, but others are mere conveniences we have simply gotten used too, like plastic bags!
When it comes to living green, always remember to reduce, re-use and recycle. When you reduce plastics, you reduce global warming. Each year, in the U.S.A. alone, millions throw away some 100 billion polyethylene plastic bags-from grocery and trash bags to those ultra-convenient sandwich bags.
Unfortunately, plastics are made from petroleum, the processing and burning of which is considered one of the main contributors to global warming.
In addition, sending plastics to the landfill also increases greenhouse gases. Reduce, re-use, and recycle your plastics for one of the best ways to combat global warming.

Meningitis: How did it changes our life....

Its the first week of April when I and my hubby decided to have a vacation at the province, since my father-in-law arrived from America(mom-in-law has a companion while we`re away), we also took our chance to visit my parents and siblings.
My mom was so surprized at the same time, so happy co`z for a year, we`ll be spending a week with them, including, they saw my little angel again. But i noticed my youngest brother. He`s not as active as before. It really bothers me so i ask my mother what`s wrong. She told me that they just went from a doctor and there`s nothing wrong with him except for a fever so its just go that way. That night we have an early dinner and still,i noticed my brother. He doesn`t have an appetite for eating considering that the meal given to him is his favorite. After we`re done, we went to the living room for a little chitchat and to watch our daughter dancing and making her grannies so delighted. They really love their granddaughter so much so they enjoy being with her every time we go there. But still, observing my brother, hes not participating to any of what we do. He`s just staring and i really wondered why. He`s used of playing with my daughter, teaching her how to draw and how to play his toys and it really bothers me more.
The next morning after we arrived, I woke up with my father`s voice crying for help and shouting that my brother`s dying. I jumped out of my bed and i saw my father so horrified. He was carrying my brother. The kid was shaking, his eyes where open but stuck only in one direction, his face`s color`s like an eggplant and blood`s coming out in his mouth. I was so shocked that i don`t even notice my husband was also standing next to me in disbelief. It`s good I manage to go back to myself and run for a spoon at the kitchen. I put the spoon on his mouth.I`m not sure in what I`m doing but it just came in my mind to do it. I had a classmate once in high school having epilepsy and every time he was attacked by it,I saw my teacher stuck a spoon on his mouth. I`m sure my brother`s not an epileptic but the attack seems the same. My mom`s not around that time seeking for a medicine for him and she arrived home so surprized and worried co`z my neighbors saw me running around the house looking for her and they tell her something`s going on at home. My mother`s face is so miserable and so worried hat she can`t decide what to do but cry. I immediately decided that we`ll bring him to the hospital. My husband went with them, he carried my brother to the hospital and he told me that my brother even peed his shorts, maybe because of the burden that he`s fighting. It was so painful for all of us to see my brother that way. He`s one of a kind. He`s not like the other kids around, bulling, playing anywhere, fighting, and spending their allowance in no means. My brother is intelligent, he`s quiet and respectful, many people in our place love him because of that. He also saves money(can you believe my mom can even borrow money from his savings?). He doesn`t ask for anything and understand situations knowing that he`s only 8 years old. Yes he`s only 8 but he`s already struggling for something, something that`s not simple and later we found out "fatal".
When they arrived to the hospital,it makes the situation worse co`z at first they can`t find out what`s wrong. My mother was so upset, how come the boy who`s unconscious can`t be sick so they have to do more tests, until they found out its a stage 3 Meningitis. He has a central nervous system infection and its not a joke. The hospital immediately request for by brother to transfer to a bigger hospital(that`s only a town hospital and lack of equipments) so that they can make a much better actions about it. Upon knowing that he was transferred, I with my husband and auntie(mom`s sister)rushed along to the hospital where he was confined. My mother was crying when we saw her, she was so hopeless co`z my brother was in a coma and she doesn`t know if he will be waking up or not anymore. I even had a fight with the guards because they won`t allow us to go inside and I was so desperate to see my brother. We went home without seeing him and upon delivering what his condition to my father, he was speechless specially when i explained what my brother`s going through.
Since my husband can`t stay long at the province(because of his work), we decided that he`ll return to Manila alone and let me and my daughter stay until my brother`s in good condition. For a week, my brother didn`t woke up, tube`s all over him and you can see his stomach so thin, so flat that it looks like there`s nothing in it. I saw my father for the first time crying in front of the image of God bargaining his life for the life of my brother. It was the most painful moment for all of us, asking for a miracle because it`s the only way my brother can survive.
A week past and for the first time, we got a good news. He was already conscious but can`t eat still and needed to undergo another test. The doctor needs to get a sample from his spinal to ensure how bad the infection was. I know how painful it is, its just good that my brother was strong enough and really fighting to survive. We found out that its a Bacterial Meningitis. He needs to undergo a year treatment for him to recover. We`re so greatful that he survived co`z they are ten on that case and only two survived, that includes him.
After three weeks, he was discharged from the hospital. We gave thanksgiving mass for the miracle that we received. I even told my brother not to be good always co`z good boys don`t stay long. Bad for me isn`t it but I mean it. I don`t want to loose any of my family. I am not yet ready. I still have so many plans for them. I want them to experience luxuries that they don`t have yet.
Now I realize, we should always give importance to anyone or anything. We can`t predict life and happenings that will come. Cherish every moment co`z we can`t say what will happen next. Now, it`s been a year since that tragedy happen and thanks to God, he`s doing fine now. If you want to say or do anything, do it now before its too late.....

Money Talks: What woman should know about managing her money

Sister, you may not realize, but financial stability really is possible in this world of uncertainties. However, it won`t come from dollars falling from the sky or by way of Prince Charming sweeping you off your feet.Financial stability can come from your own paycheck-but only if you manage your money properly. It`s important that we use the money that we have as wisely as is possible. We need to give attention to our finances on a regular basis. If we give attention to our finances, that will be a huge step toward getting financial stability and financial security.
Seek Information On Finances: The amount of information that can be obtained from reading books, attending workshops and consulting with professionals is endless. But you`ll likely have to reflect on your financial situation and to divulge a few details to get the best help available.
Avoid "Retail Therapy": Sisters and style go hand in hand. However, keeping your style in pace with your wallet is a different matter. At times, woman may go on a shopping binge for clothes, shoes, etc., to feel better about themselves. Although the feeling may be good at first, it doesn`t feel the same when the bill comes. Therefore, it is important to avoid this pitfall as a means to boost your spirit when the chips are down so that your finances aren`t altered. When we look at other motives behind some of the spending, we can analyze it and say,'Is it a right move to make? If the motives are emotionally based, you can see why it is important to address the issue, as opposed to spending the money trying to medicate ourselves over something that no matter how much money we spend, it`s never going to change the problem. It`s important to deal with the problem directly.
Maintain Financial Security: Emergencies are, inevitably, bound to happen to everyone. How well you`re prepared for financial calamities can mean the difference between a small setback and a complete disaster. All women should have a special account for emergency expenses so that they wont fall into the web of debt. Always have your own money, even you get married, you always have to be conscious of protecting yourself. Don`t let someone else mess up your credit and your funds.
Take Control Of Your Financial Future: The most important source for getting more money actually comes from using the money we have more wisely. It all starts with the individual. Managing money is not rocket science. Still, it requires dedication, patience, and discipline. Every money manged properly has the potential value of something even greater. It really doesn`t take a lot to get started, just be consistent.

Size Does Matter

And how you can make it go away:

You are the oiliest link!Goodbye! You`ll be surprized with how much weight you can loose just passing on fried food-the reason being, roughly 60 of the food we eat is fried. So drop the fat and you`re more than halfway there. Boil, broil, bake, grill, steam your food.....see? There are many other ways of making raw food edible.
Your Diet- Pork and Beef= A Healthier You OK, so your doctor might say that you still need pig and cow protein. But unfortunately, pork and beef are also the highest fat contributors in your diet. try chicken and seafood-very good alternative sources of protein. Egg white and tofu are also protein-rich. No frying! Another tip: Do the chicken for lunch and stick to seafood for dinner. Why? Because chicken is harder to digest. And since you`re not very active at night(or are you?Hmm...), you`re better of with the seafood, which is easier on your metabolism.
You are not what you eat. I say this because my next tip is to eat more fruit. And you might say that since I eat a lot of fruit, I`m a....See? Never mind.Fruits are the healthiest things on earth. And there`s no such thing as eating too much fruit since you easily wash it out. I highly recommend that fruits take the place of your sinful snacks. Instead of eating junk foods, why no try an apple?

Voila! Go shopping for a smaller pants, `cause that belly will soon be history!
